Temporary closure of the Corso Giannone entrance

Please note that, due to a fallen tree, the Corso Giannone entrance will reopen on Friday, December 5th. Access for all visitors will be from Piazza Carlo di Borbone. We remind that this entrance is pedestrian only.

Early Closure of the Royal Apartments on November 10

Visitors are advised that on Monday, November 10, the Royal Apartments museum will close at 5:00 PM (last admission at 4:00 PM) to allow for extraordinary maintenance and heritage conservation.

This work involves the specialized cleaning of the museum’s carpet, an integral part of the historical displays.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

The care and protection of the Royal Apartments are part of our daily commitment to preserving the beauty of the Royal Palace of Caserta for everyone.

Exceptional closure of the Palatine Chapel and Court Theatre in October for film shootings

We would like to inform you that we will be hosting an international film production in October. During this period, the Museum will share its spaces with film sets and crews. Therefore, please note that the Palatine Chapel will be closed on October 16th and 17th, and the Court Theatre will be closed on October 25th and 26th.

Bringing the Royal Palace of Caserta to the big screen is also a way to share the magic of these places with the world!

Due to installations, we inform our visitors that the Palatine Chapel will be closed on October 16th and the Court Theatre on October 25th and 26th.

June 1st and 2nd free admission to the Royal Park

On Sunday, June 1st, for Sunday at the Museum, and Monday, June 2nd, for the Italian Republic Day, the Royal Palace of Caserta adheres to the initiative of the Ministry of Culture that provides free admission to state museums and archaeological parks. Please note that on these days, due to a serious shortage of staff, the Royal Palace remains closed. Only the Royal Park is open (the English Garden is closed).

Advice Court Theater

From 21 May to 20 July 2025, for the exhibition Abisso of Per Barcley (more info here), the Court Theater is open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 19.00 (last entry 18.30); Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 13.00 (last entry 12.30). Closed on Tuesdays and free days.

Please note that, due to the installation of the artist’s site-specific work, the audience of the Court Theater is not accessible by visitors.

For organizational reasons, the Court Theatre is closed to the public on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May.

The Council Room, the 19th century back rooms, the antechambers and bedroom of Gioacchino Murat and the bedroom of Francesco II will be closed
