Your event at the Royal Palace

The waterway streamed from the bridge of Hercules, conceived as an uninterrupted parterre, pools and basins line flanked by two avenues delimited by rows of shaped holm oaks. From this terraced area one enjoys the breathtaking view of the Royal Palace on one side, and the waterway on the other. The first fountain is the Fountain of sea monsters or dolphins, so called because the water comes out of the mouths of three large sea monsters carved in stone. The second fountain, the Fountain of Aeolus, is made up of a large exedra in which there are numerous caves that simulate the abode of the winds, represented by statues of "zephyrs". The Fountain of Ceres or “jetter”, designed in Renaissance style, was equipped with the typical water tricks used to bathe unsuspecting visitors and to allow them to cool off during the summer. The fountain of Ceres represents the fecundity of Sicily, while the last fountain the myth of Venus and Adonis is represented, narrated by Ovid in the Metamorphoses.
