September 5th and 6th: Accessibility information for Luciano Ligabue’s events in Piazza Carlo di Borbone

On Friday, September 5th, the LigaVillage will take place in the First Courtyard of the Royal Palace and at the Flora of the Royal Palace of Caserta. Piazza Carlo di Borbone will remain open.

On Saturday, September 6th, the concert “La Notte di certe notti” by artist Luciano Ligabue will take place in Piazza Carlo di Borbone (the square in front of the monument where the ticket office and the main entrance to the museum are located).

A large influx of people is expected in the areas adjacent to and surrounding the Royal Palace of Caserta. Therefore, the local authorities and the Municipality of Caserta have implemented certain safety measures and changes to the city’s traffic and parking plan, which will also affect access routes to the Royal Palace.

The measures adopted under the Executive Ordinance No. 390 of 30/08/2025 issued by the City of Caserta (available at the following link: https://albopretorio.comune.caserta.it/download/840870.html) will be in effect from 12:00 PM on September 6th until 3:00 AM on September 7th, 2025, and include the following guidelines for visitors to the Royal Palace of Caserta:

Access to Piazza Carlo di Borbone:

  • For those arriving by private vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc.): Due to road closures in the areas surrounding the Museum and the full occupancy of many city parking lots (the underground parking beneath Piazza Carlo di Borbone will be closed), it is recommended to exit the highway at Caserta Nord and park before the intersection of Viale Giulio Douhet and Via Giuseppe Fanin.
  • For those arriving by public transport (bus, train): As Piazza Carlo di Borbone will be closed, you will need to walk along Viale Ellittico, turn right onto Viale Giulio Douhet. On Viale Douhet, just after the entrance to the Air Force School, a fenced pedestrian lane will be set up exclusively for Museum visitors, leading to the ticket office and/or the main entrance to the Royal Palace of Caserta.

Please note that the Corso Pietro Giannone entrance (which does not have a ticket office) will be open to visitors, but the stretch of road from Largo Aldifreda to Piazza Luigi Vanvitelli will be closed to private vehicle traffic.

We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online for the Royal Palace of Caserta in advance for Saturday, September 6th, through Ticketone: https://www.ticketone.it/artist/reggia-caserta/reggia-di-caserta-1818672/

We apologize for the inconvenience.
