The Royal Palace of Caserta’s Educational Activities

The museums’ educational services are part of the Italian Museum Heritage’s enhancement. They “educate” to knowledge, introduce the possibility of offering a series of services aimed at making the visit more interesting and comfortable such as welcoming, guiding and assisting the visit itself through specific professional figures with a focus on a more insightful study (flash visits) or accessibility paths. The educational service of the Royal Palace of Caserta deals with the organization of the Ministerial Development Plan which every year, through a program of special cultural initiatives, educates and brings the various audiences closer to the knowledge of cultural heritage (the European Museum Night, the European Heritage Days, the Dantedì, The Music Festival). There are more “active” teachings for schools such as the Plans for Cross Competences and Orientation (PCTO) which, through the Educational Offer, aims at the creation of documents, materials and tools for cultural heritage education and collection of observations and suggestions formulated by the students themselves, thus nourishing a meeting space between School and Museum.
